The purpose of St. Joseph Youth Ministry is to create the opportunity for the high school youth of St. Joseph to grow in their faith through social events, retreats, mission trips, and other acts of service to empower them to lives as disciples of Jesus, draw them to participation in the life of the Church, and foster personal and spiritual growth in each of them. Youth group meets twice each month from September - May. Contact the parish office for more information.
Youth Ministry at St. Joseph has three main goals:
- to empower young people to serve as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today
- to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community and St. Joseph Church
- to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person
- Renewing the Vision, USCCB
Everything that we do in Youth Ministry is aimed towards one of these goals, which come from the USCCB’s document on Youth Ministry: “Renewing the Vision.”
