St. Joseph Catholic Church exists to help you journey towards a closer relationship with God. A huge part of that is fostering relationships with one another in our faith community. The connections we make are ones that will bring us all closer to each other and closer to God.
We are deeply committed to supporting the proclamation of the Gospel through our school and our religious education programs.
We look to the statement made by the Second Vatican Council:
"Holy Mother Church must be concerned with the whole of man's life, even the secular part of it insofar as it has a bearing on his heavenly calling. Therefore she has a role in the progress and development of education."
Education remains critically important in the formation of the human person by teaching how to live well now so as to be able to live with God for all eternity.
It is not just education, as John Paull II has stated, it is a new evangelization. This new evangelization is a re-education for Catholics. A time of renewal in our understanding and acceptance of all our Church teaches. We are not alone in this most wonderful of adventures!
Catholic education addresses the development of the whole person through spiritual and academic formation based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The mission of Catholic education provides a particular environment for the New Evangelization by presenting the Gospel anew within the school and parish communities.
The RCIA is the process by which adults enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.
