It is the responsibility of the Finance Commisson to serve as advisors to the Pastor and the Parish Pastoral Council in regard to financial and budget matters of the parish. Activities include preparation of an annual budget that addresses the needs of all aspects of parish life. The budget is based on the goals and objectives determined by the Parish Council as the Council discerns the needs of the parish in areas of liturgy, education, Christian service, etc. in the future as well as in the present. The committee monitors and evaluates where the money comes from and how it is spent. Committee members are appointed by the pastor and have some expertise in budget and finance.
